rem.maps was born in 2004 out of my passion for Orienteering.
I started Orienteering in 1997, doing a lot of races (60-70 a year); it became clear that this was not going to be a mere hobby.
in a couple of years I startd enjoying the 'backstage' of Orienteering and so my main goal became to organize races and draw maps (but I still keep on racing, with 50 races/year).
it's a real pleasure for me to set a course, to draw a map or simply to put down controls out in the forest, but most of all this is a committment to the ones who will use the output of my work (the athletes) and my work-mates.
the first rem.map was made in 2002, almost by joke, a Melegnano Castle Park map, 1:1000, then the passion became a life-job.
my main goal is to draw the most accurate and beautiful maps ever, in order to fulfill the needs of contractors and athletes. translating on a map what I see around me, using IOF Standard, is the most beautiful thing in the world.
